But thanks to a network of rescuers, Avalyn, Emmerson and Harloh were saved just in the nick of time! They weren’t quite ready for solid food so needed to be bottle fed for a week or so. Babine was rescued from Devore Shelter in June of 2018 when she was about 6 months old. She has an unusual condition called unilateral microphthalmia. This is a congenital issue where one eye is anatomically smaller than the other.
