Thank you for your interest in becoming a Rescue Partner with Kitty Devore Rescue and joining us in our ongoing mission to save cats admitted to Devore Animal Shelter in San Bernardino, California.
Once we receive your completed application, it will be reviewed by the Kitty Devore Rescue administration team. Applicants will generally be notified of approval within five days of submission.
If approved, you will be invited to join the private Kitty Devore Rescue Network Facebook group and introduced to the KD team. The KD Network includes our administrators and Board members, rescue coordinators, foster parents, transporters, rescue partners, and other members who assist with our rescue efforts in a variety of ways.
Joining the KD Network Facebook group is not mandatory, but it can make communication and coordination considerably easier. The group is where we share information about cats currently at Devore Animal Shelter, coordinate rescue efforts and transports, provide updates about cats already in KD foster care, and troubleshoot medical, behavioral, fostering, and other rescue-related matters. Rescue partners may also be able to connect with members who can assist with transportation, temporary fostering, veterinary boarding, and other logistical needs when resources are available.
The KD Network is also our primary internal community. Rescue work comes with both victories and difficult moments, and the group provides a place where members working toward the same mission can communicate, collaborate, and support one another. We also recognize that rescue partners have their own organizations, responsibilities, and considerable workloads. Participation in the KD Network group is therefore welcomed, but never required.
If you choose not to participate in the KD Network Facebook group, you will work directly with our designated Kitty Devore Rescue coordinators regarding any Devore cats your organization is interested in accepting. KD will coordinate the shelter pull and communicate the necessary information regarding release from Devore. Unless otherwise arranged, your organization will be responsible for coordinating transfer from our puller, boarding if needed, foster placement, transportation, and all subsequent care once the cat has been transferred to your rescue.
Please read each item in the Rescue Partner Agreement carefully before initialing. By becoming a Kitty Devore Rescue Partner, your organization agrees to honor and adhere to the terms of the agreement. Kitty Devore Rescue will likewise honor its responsibilities and commitments to your organization.
