Kiara-Dixy was adopted Tuesday, January 18, 2022!
Meet Kiara-Dixy! This adorable little 2-year-old was rescued from Devore Shelter in October 2021. We’re not sure of the circumstances of her first couple years of life, but we do know she belonged to someone before her surrender to the shelter as a stray. We know this because she was microchipped. However, despite efforts to reunite her with her people, they never came to claim her.
Kiara-Dixy is very youthful and friendly. She craves attention and enjoys being around people, even visitors, especially if you have treats. But even if you don’t have any to spare, this little girl loves attention. She’ll greet you when you walk through the door, hopeful for love and pets. Likewise, she enjoys giving attention and kisses. She’s also very curious, interested in everything you’re interested in. She’ll follow you from room to room, eager to share in whatever activity you plan to undertake.
It probably goes without saying that when you take a break to relax, Kiara-Dixy is happy to curl up next to you to keep you company. If you’re busy, that’s okay. She knows how to attend to herself. When she’s ready for a good nap, she’ll find a cozy, quiet spot under your bed or in a comfortable chair.
Because she’s still got that kitten energy in her, she’s always ready to play. Cat toys are the best, and if you’re willing to play with her, that’s even better! She can get overexcited, so you may want to invest in a wand toy as love-bites are to be expected if you allow her access to your hands.
