Junebug was adopted May 22, 2022!
Meet Junebug, one of the sweetest kitties you’ll ever hope to meet. We received an owner surrender request in March 2022 involving a momma kitty and her five newborn kittens. While the owner could not authenticate pedigree, each member of the adorable family – including the father, who the owner did not surrender to our rescue – was Birman. Birmans are a breed of kitties originating from Myanmar. They feature ear and facial color points, blue eyes, and silky coats. What distinguishes Birmans from Siamese are their white “gloves.” We were delighted to accept this beautiful family into our foster care program.
At 8-months-old when surrendered, the mother cat was just a kitten herself. We named her Junebug. She radiates serenity, exudes sweetness, and has been the perfect mommy, showing her little ones constant adoration and love. The bonded family does everything together – eat, play, and sleep. Junebug responds to human attention and affection and is at ease being held and cuddled close. Her kittens – Mantis, Grasshopper, Katydid, Cicada, and Weevil – will be available for adoption in late May or early June 2022. Each looks identical to their beautiful mom.
Junebug is available for adoption now as a solo kitty. However, we welcome adopters interested in adopting Junebug and one of her kittens when they are cleared for adoption.
