My name is Jabberwocky but my foster family calls me Jabbers. When I first arrived after being rescued from Devore Shelter in December of 2016, I was quite a talker. I was young then; only a year old and, like most teenagers, I was quite the chatterbox. I’ve matured. Now, I speak when I have something important to say and, of course, when I’m talking to my best friend, Kuro. We’re buddies but I also get along well with all the other kitties in my foster home.
I am not picky about what I eat. I do like treats but do not demand them. My weakness is catnip! Now, I can be a little bossy, but that’s because I’m older, more worldly and, if I do say so myself, much more intelligent than the other cats in our foster home. I do like them though. I like dogs, too.
I do enjoy my nap time. I’m happy to sleep on your bed with you or curled up on a cushion. I also enjoy the contemplative art of staring out windows and watching the world go by. I may seem a tad timid at first but once I get comfortable and feel I can trust you, I’m happy to sit with you while you read or watch TV. The only thing I ask is that you please don’t pick me up! However, if you let me be by playing hard to get, before you know it I’ll be shadowing you around the house, trying to get your attention.
