Elara was adopted Monday, September 19, 2022!
Meet Elara! We rescued this dilute calico lovebug from Devore Shelter in May of 2022. Named after a nymph from Greek mythology and one of the moons of Jupiter, Elara is happy, cheerful, and loving, just as her namesake. She entered the shelter pregnant and gave birth to four kittens on her second day there. Shelter staff estimated her age to be approximately two years old, and our vets concur.
While Elara has been a fabulous mama, her baby-raising days are officially over, and she is ready to become someone’s baby. She has spent the last two months in foster care raising her remaining three kittens: Dia, Arche, and Darth. While she may be a little shy at first, Elara adores cuddles from everyone. She enjoys being carried (with her petite size, it’s effortless to do!) and spends most of her time making biscuits. She chats, explores, and is a cat toy enthusiast. Her playful personality invites instant rapport with most four-legged friends. Energetic and social, Elara‘s happiness and well-being depend on other animals in her midst.
