Daytona came into rescue life early, along with her mom Fontana, and siblings Concord, Sonoma, and Darlington, after the NASCAR family was pulled from Devore Animal Shelter in November 2024. Just a month old at the time, Daytona has no memory of the shelter–only the safety, affection, and steady love she’s known ever since. Raised in a foster home with her family, she has blossomed into a confident, healthy, and irresistibly affectionate young cat.
Daytona is pure kinetic happiness. A playful little dynamo, she’s always on the move–racing through crinkle chutes, wrestling with her siblings, and proudly parading her beloved crunch balls clenched in her mouth like hard-won trophies. Her energy is infectious, and her antics are guaranteed to make you laugh daily.
But don’t let the zoomies fool you–Daytona has a wonderfully tender side. She greets people with an enthusiastic flop onto her back, paws splayed wide in an open invitation for love. She adores lap time, purrs like a tiny engine warming up, and genuinely craves connection. Human companionship lights her up just as much as feline play.
Daytona shares a special bond with her sister Concord, who matches her playful spirit and affectionate nature step for step. The two are often found together and would be thrilled to continue life as a duo in their forever home. That said, Daytona can be adopted on her own if the right situation comes along.
