Tippy Too was adopted Saturday, January 8, 2022!
Meet Tippy Too! In December of 2016, when she was 8 years old, Tippy Too‘s owner abandoned her at Devore Animal Shelter for being “too fat.” Upon rescue, we found her to be distraught and depressed. Who wouldn’t be? Even kitties are sensitive to being fat-shamed and abandoned! Sadly, one of the ironic effects of her abandonment is that she wouldn’t eat. We understood her grief, upset, and anxiety. While we did get her interested in food again, it took quite some time before her true nature revealed itself to us.
Tippy Too gradually settled into her foster home. Her foster parent worked hard to build a relationship with her. She eventually grew to trust her foster family. She’s now a bright, lively, and active senior who trots out to meet anyone who enters the front door to welcome them home. She’ll happily tell you all about her day and, when you sit down to rest, she takes that as her cue to follow you to a chair, jump into your lap, and keep you company. While she’s still sprightly for an old girl, she does have her curmudgeonly moments and, for that reason, Tippy Too would be best suited in a home where there are no young children. Her current foster family consists of two teenage boys, one of whom she absolutely adores. She needs a person or family who can appreciate her voluptuous loveliness and be willing to understand her periods of sensory overload and overwhelm by maintaining a quiet home with low-level activity.
Tippy Too would love nothing more than to be adopted by someone she can lavish with affection. She’s the type of kitty who really gets attached to her humans. Are you seeking a devoted companion who avidly listens to your stories, sympathizes with your troubles, but also brightens your day as soon as you walk through the door? Well, no further than this wonderful girl! Fill out an adoption application for Tippy Too today!
