Is a strong, vibrant, and lively personality your cup of tea? Well, look no further than adorable Orange Pekoe! This little girl never saw the inside of a shelter. Found wandering alone and crying for her momma on a Showtime backlot in Los Angeles by a neighbor of Kitty Devore’s co-founder, she was taken into foster care when she was 4 weeks old in June 2022.
Orange Pekoe quickly endeared herself to the older kitties in her foster home with her fearless nature and enthusiasm for making friends. They, in turn, cared for her like surrogate moms, dads, and even a 22-year-old feline grandad. She tolerates dogs as her foster home boasts two but has no issue hissing at them if they encroach on her personal space… and every space is personal for Pekoe. She owns any room she inhabits. She’s a little girl who does everything in full force. She loves with her whole heart, eats with gusto, plays like her life depends on it, and sleeps deeply without a care in the world. She adores people. If you have a lap, she wants in it. She’s a phenomenal study buddy and co-worker, too. Fair warning, though; she’s a chatterbox and can sometimes be a bit bossy. But then again, what do you expect from a tortico (technically a calico because of her white socks and white pinpointed tail but otherwise has the coloring of a tortoiseshell)? Orange Pekoe is extremely social, so we feel she’d thrive best in a home with other kitties.
Lipton is known as the “brisk tea,” made from the leaves of Orange Pekoe. If you’re looking for a lively kind of love, our Orange Pekoe is your girl. Fill out an adoption application for her today at www.kittydevorerescue.org!
