Naan and his sister, Brioche, were adopted September 6, 2020!
Naan is a young short-haired, snowshoe Siamese mix kitten who is a bundle of energy. He came to Devore Shelter with his mom, Tobie, and siblings at just 3 weeks old in May of 2020.
He was the runt of the litter, weighing exactly half of his sister at the time of their rescue into Kitty Devore Rescue foster care. He had a little difficulty getting all of his nutrition from his mom and was bottle fed a little extra every day until weaning. Now he’s just as big as his sister and giving her a run for her money!
Naan is very social when he feels a sense of safety, familiarity and trust in his environment. He runs up to his foster family and jumps on them whenever they enter the room. However, he can be a bit nervous with new things: places, people, etc. He would be happiest with another young kitty buddy to help show him things are safe. Right now, his big sister, Brioche, tends to take the lead in scouting things out first before Naan will venture ahead.
Once comfortable, Naan only stops running and playing to watch TV with his foster family. He’s endlessly fascinated by things that move on TV, computer and phone screens. For this reason, he’d make a great TV buddy. He is still working on realizing that hands are not toys and is getting much better with his human social skills, but will need a patient home that will keep working on this with him; a home with older children who have kitten experience would be best.
Brioche and her brother, Naan, are bonded siblings. Being a little more timid and less adventurous than his sister, Naan looks to her for support. She, in turn, helps him build confidence in situations where he’s more likely to shy away and hide. For this reason, we feel they’re a great team and should be adopted together for their overall well-being.
