Mojave is possibly the raddest cat you will ever meet. He doesn’t scratch furniture, has perfect litter box manners and only meows when he gets himself locked in a bedroom – however, his meows are as if he’s yelling orders because … well, he’s way more rad than you are. He appears to be shy at first but he’s really just being pretentious and wants to make sure that you’re worthy of his attention. Once he has determined that you are willing to acknowledge his greatness, he might consider cuddling near you.
Rescued in March of 2017, we suspect 4-year-old Mojave was surrendered to Devore Shelter because he had a urinary blockage and his previous people either didn’t want or didn’t have the means to address it for him. Unfortunately, his condition was so severe that he required three major surgeries over a two month period to correct the issue. We are pleased to report reoccurrence is highly unlikely but he does require a special prescription diet for the rest of his life to ensure he stays healthy and blockage free.
Mojave is currently reigning over three other cats as well as his doggy foster brother. It took him a while to warm up to his doggy foster brother but they love wrestling with each other and chasing each other around the house. He is a demanding kitty when it comes to full attention and, although he can adapt to life with other cats, Mojave would definitely prefer to be someone’s one and only kitty.
Mojave was adopted January 27, 2019!
