Keera was adopted on April 23, 2022!
Keera, “little dark-haired one,” according to the Celts, was only eight months old when we initially rescued her from Devore Animal Shelter in November of 2013. She was adopted not long after that and enjoyed her life with her new mom for many years. However, her adoptive mom brought another kitty into the home that once was her sole domain. The caused Keera much distress. As a result, she was returned to KD foster care.
Keera was confused and heartbroken when she returned to us. She missed her mom. She missed the place she knew as home. It took some time for her to recover emotionally and adjust to life in her new foster home. But, like humans, animal hearts forgive and heal in time. Although it took the better part of a year, Keera eventually showed us how resilient she could be. Although she is now considered a senior, she still has many happy years ahead. She is very sweet-natured and perfectly behaved. She loves nothing more than to be held and, like a parrot, will drape herself over your shoulder and whisper her secrets into your ear.
Keera has been an only kitty for many years, so living in a foster home with other kitties has shown us she would still prefer to be an only kitty. She wants her humans all to herself. With humans, she is incredibly playful, attentive, affectionate. She’ll be there to greet you as soon as you walk through the door, and if you give her regular chin scratches, she’ll devote herself to you for life.
If you’re looking for a devoted companion, look no further than Keera. This little dark-haired one is looking for stability and love to last her the rest of her lifetime. Please fill out an adoption application for her today!
