Duke was adopted Saturday, March 19, 2023!
In early 2022, a woman contacted us seeking to surrender her adopted 8-month-old female Birman kitty, who had given birth to five adorable kittens. The father of the kittens, Duke, whom she opted to keep – until later in the year when she contacted us again, seeking to surrender him, too! Although foster placements were limited, we couldn’t say no, and in November, we welcomed 2-year-old Duke into KD foster care.
Duke‘s well-mannered, loving, and endearing personality expresses unconditionally toward humans and other kitties. Ever the gentleman, he insists on escorting his people from room to room and will happily install himself close by wherever they retire. Duke believes in the reciprocity of give and take and will elevate himself to meet your hand if you reach out to pet him. Still young, he exudes playful energy and would thrive in the company of other cats with a similar rough-and-tumble drive. After playtime, he appreciates a cup of water all to himself. He’s a Duke, you see, thus very civilized. No peasant communal bowl for him, thank you very much! Despite his upheaval in life, Duke is resilient and looking forward to charming a forever family or person of his very own.
Might you be that person? If so, please fill out an adoption application for this handsome and engaging gentleman today!
