Bindi Irwin was adopted November 29, 2021!
Many of our foster parents who take feline families in need into their care choose name themes. When Momma Blanca and her five kittens were rescued from Devore Shelter in May of 2021, their foster mom named each kitty after a person she admired and who champions the welfare of animals: Momma Dian Fossey, Steve Irwin, Bindi Irwin, David Attenborough, Jane Goodall, and Ellen DeGeneres.
Bindi Irwin was named after the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin’s daughter who carries on her father’s work and further infuses it with her passion for conservation. Like her namesake, our Bindi is bright, curious, and joyful. She enjoys shoulder rides and will never miss the opportunity to jump into your arms for snuggles. She has boundless energy, romping playfully with her brothers and sisters. But she knows the importance of rest and downtime, too, and is more than content to cozy up to her favorite human for pets. Bindi is such a pretty girl, all white with a single dab of gray on her head. She also has unusual eyes – one blue and one chartreuse – called Heterochromia iridium or odd-eyed. We think you’d agree – she’s pretty stunning.
Bindi can infuse all those around her with the spirit of joy. If you’re seeking more joy in your life, what better way to do so than by adopting Bindi! Apply to adopt her today!
