Aveline was adopted June 19, 2020!
Meet beautiful Aveline! Momma Aveline, along with her boys, Walnut and Filbert, were rescued from Devore Shelter in late summer of 2018. Aveline is French for “Hazelnut” so, all together, they make up our adorable little “nut family”!
Avie, as her foster mom calls her, was estimated to be 2-3 years old when she was rescued. If you’re not mesmerized by her lovely green eyes, her gorgeous, dilute tortoiseshell coat will certainly draw you in. This petite, fluffy knockout is an easy, low maintenance kitty. While she’s always been a mellow girl, she’s also happy to partake in batting at a wand toy if one should appear!
She takes her time warming up to you, but she enjoys having her thick coat of fur gently brushed, and she adores head and chin scratches. She’s not a big fan of commotion or high-energy kitties, unless it’s Walnut or Filbert who are running amok – she loves her boys and they can do no wrong! And while you’re unlikely to find her crawling into your lap for a snooze, she’s always nearby and does seem to enjoy being where her humans are, as she typically chooses a spot near her foster mom to relax nd sprawl out for a nap.
She has perfected what her foster mom calls “her lean” into pillows and blankets for the perfect snooze position. You’ll often find her curled up with one or both or her boys, grooming them and loving on them.
If you’ve got room in your home for a whole bowl of nuts, this trio would be quite content to stay together! Avie would also likely do quite well to be adopted into a home with another mellow cat, or on her own into a calm household.
Aveline is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and is ready to find her happily ever after! If you’re looking to add a relaxed kitty who is certain to fill your home and heart with beauty, Avie’s your girl! Fill out an adoption application here.
