Victor Elias was adopted on Tuesday, May 28, 2024!
Meet Victor Elias! This handsome boy was approximately one year old when he entered Kitty Devore foster care in December 2023.
It’s hard to believe that a kitty GQ model such as Victor Elias had a prolonged stay at the Big Bear Shelter after being rescued from a hoarding situation – he’s too beautiful to have known such hardship! But he weathered those storms and is rebuilding his trust with humans, thanks to being with a loving and patient foster family. He has become a playful and curious boy who contemplates the world while mumbling and talking to himself as he goes about his day.
Victor Elias is more than just a pretty face; he is also a quick learner who picks up on the behaviors of his foster siblings and imitates them with ease. He is eager to solve food puzzles and scores high on sociability with other kitties – he lights up when his foster sisters enter the room. Victor Elias is happy to initiate playtime with his foster mom and enjoys curling up nearby for a daytime nap. Each day, he gains more confidence and expresses more of his wonderful personality.
Due to previous experiences, Victor Elias retained some issues with perceived food scarcity; over time, in a more reliable environment, he’s learned food is plentiful, and he will never have to worry about missing a meal. We’ve also discovered that his GI tract functions best on a wet/dry diet with ample access to hydration sources.
Victor Elias will be happiest with an experienced adopter who understands his need for extra TLC and patience. Once he knows he is safe, his personality can shine. Victor would thrive best in a home with other feline friends who can model positive social interactions for him.
