Thom Thom was adopted December 11, 2020!
It was October of 2018 when then-2-year-old Thom-Thom found himself admitted to Devore Shelter. Bewildered, he had no idea how he’d wound up there and, even more concerning, how he was going to get himself out. After all, he was a handsome ginger kitty who had always been easy to get along with and never met another kitty or human he didn’t like. What on earth did he do to wind up in kitty jail, he wondered.
Thom-Thom was spared the effort of plotting his escape because the Kitty Devore Rescue Team had a plan to bust him out – and so we did. He was happily welcomed into his new foster home with open arms. There, he met new friends – most of whom had also been rescued from Devore Shelter. Never having spent time with so many other kitties, he realized his more mellow nature is one that prefers time on his own and special one-on-one relationships than large social gatherings. He found he also enjoys the company of dogs.
Yes, he definitely thrives on attention from humans – but on his own terms. After a trial adoption into a home with younger children, we discovered he’s not a fan and would definitely do better in a home with adults and much older teenage kids.
Most of all and because he’s of a more soulful nature, he loves hanging out in his kitty tree, surveying and observing the activities of others. Oh, and treats – he really loves treats, too!
If cats have a philosophy, Thom-Thom is a master of contemplation. If you believe this mellow, good natured fellow would be the perfect companion for you, fill out an application to meet him today!
