Sakari and Kavik were adopted February 13, 2024!
Momma Sakari and her kittens were rescued from Devore shelter in early June of 2018 when she was about a year old. They were all very sick with a nasty cold, but with the help of KD’s great vets and fosters, they’re now all thriving in foster care!
Sakari is the Inuit word for “sweet”, and sweet she is! She has a great disposition, gets along with all the kitties in her foster home, and doesn’t mind the dog at all. She has the softest fur ever with a bottlebrush tail and really likes to be pet. She’s quite playful and can often be found in the middle of a pile of kittens, wrestling with all of them! Sakari has been a very attentive momma from the beginning and has a tendency to dote on all the kittens in her foster home, especially her boy, Kavik. Moms aren’t supposed to have favorites, but Kavik is definitely hers! They are frequently caught cuddling on their own, with Sakari grooming her boy and Kavik loving every glorious minute of it! They are a bonded pair so they must be adopted together. Life without the other just will not do! Sakari has the most beautiful green eyes- teal green surrounded by an icy green- and when the light hits them just right, they seem to glow from within! She will happily lay near you on the couch to relax while she gazes at you with her gorgeous eyes.
Sakari has been spayed, she’s microchipped and up to date on vaccinations, and she’s tested negative for FIV and FeLV! If you need a little sweetness in your life and in your home, please consider Sakari (and her boy, Kavik!) and fill out an adoption application today!
