Saelem was adopted on November 15, 2020!
In 2014, we rescued a momma and her five kittens from Devore Shelter but, after the entire family had undergone their vetting and were close to being cleared for adoption, the foster parents disappeared… along with all the kitties! Despite our best efforts, they were impossible to track down. Thankfully, every single one of the kitties had been spayed or neutered and each one had also been microchipped. One by one, over the years, several of the kitties have found their way back to Kitty Devore Rescue thanks to their microchip numbers routing back to us.
Saelem found her way to a home in La Habra – miles away from and in an entirely different county from where her original foster home was. She began showing up at the home of a very nice woman who was happy to leave food and treats out for her. Over time, Saelem began making her way inside through the doggie door. Finally, the woman decided to take her in to be spayed – only to learn not only was she spayed but she’d also been reported missing. The veterinarian gave her our contact information and Saelem was brought back into our care.
Saelem, now a gorgeous adult lady, is a very mellow kitty. She enjoys being pet and having her chin scratched. She enjoys her quiet time in soft spots where she can nap. She’s friendly with other kitties, dogs and children. Although it may take her time to adjust to her new surroundings and she may hide at first, she flourishes in the company of others once she feels safe in her new environment.
She’s a resilient girl who has been through a lot in her life thus far but she has a lot of love to give to special people who are willing to keep her safely inside and care for her for the rest of her life. If that’s you, fill out an adoption application for Saelem today!
