Raymie was adopted Saturday, January 15, 2022!
“Doe, a deer, a female deer. Ray, a drop of golden sun. Me, a name I call myself…” Meet Raymie, or as her foster mom likes to call her, Do-re-mi. This sweet little tune of a kitten was a solo surrender to Devore Animal Shelter in early December of 2021. The shelter estimated her to be about 4 months old at the time.
If you love The Sound of Music, you will love the fabulous musical stylings of her lilting squeak. Raymie is one of the most harmonious kittens you will ever meet. She loves people and doesn’t mind if you carry her around like a long semibreve note. In fact, she’d love nothing more than to snuggle up for a nice nap, purring a happy melody all the while. If you pet her, she’ll repeat her purrful refrain – and may even let you rub her belly! There’s nothing discordant about this petite chanteuse. She effortlessly attunes to small children and other kitties. However, Raymie does require some time to warm up to dogs, but after she’s jammed with them a bit… she tends to ignore them. They’re a little too jazzy for her taste. Like most kittens, Raymie is very playful. Her favorite toys consist of balls, soft toy mice, and anything with a feather.
