POPPY is a petite calico beauty with a very sweet demeanor who is ALWAYS kissing and grooming her feline foster brothers and sisters. This young adult kitty instantly bonds with other kitties and spends all of her time with her furry pals, showing them how much she adores them and their affection. Poppy was most likely socialized a bit too late in her kittenhood with people, and so isn’t a love bug with her people, but she IS very much comfortable with living with them. She is out and about at her foster home, like any other confident kitty, taking cat naps anywhere and everywhere and sleeping in bed at night piled up with her foster mommy and the other kitties. And when it comes to play time, she comes running full speed to get in on the action!
Poppy would make an EXCELLENT companion for a lonely, sweet, and friendly kitty and will thrive in a home where she can love another feline. In fact, her foster mom has not seen a kitty more in tune with other cats and her tenderness with them is heart warming. Poppy is most in love with her foster kitty sister, Abby Newt, and does her best to be near her a great deal, but she doesn’t lavish ALL her time and love on Abby alone.
Poppy is very happy to curl up with any ol’ kitty that will have her attention! Her foster mom will see her sweetly approach the other kitties to snuggle in for a cuddle nap, or walk up to them and just start groom their faces- it is adorable and heart melting… and so is Poppy. She is an easy- like- Sunday- morning kitty who will make a lonely or affectionate kitty looking for a BFF very, very happy.
We must note that this darling little kitty requires a soft food diet, as she only has her 4 canine teeth. She suffered from LPGS (Lymphocytic/Plasmacytic Gingivitis Stomatitis, a very painful automimmune disease of the gums and teeth) until a full mouth extraction relieved her of all of that. She can still eat kibble (and really likes it when it is served as a treat) but a kitty with 4 teeth needs a soft diet to ensure they get adequate nutrition. And, because a moist diet is the best diet for cats, all of the kitties in Poppy’s foster home eat a moist food diet exclusively. So, there is no difference at all between her and them. Poppy is a beautifully hearty, perfectly healthy, and extremely happy go lucky kitty with no health issues or concerns. 🙂
