Pellman was adopted Sunday, May 3, 2020!
Hello, I’m Pellman! I am a beautiful, if I do say so myself – but that wasn’t always the case. You see, I wound up in Devore Shelter back in May of 2016 in pretty bad shape. My life had been challenging up to that point and I’d been in a few scuffles. I had to fend for myself, begging and scavenging for scraps of food. I was thin, bruised and beaten up by life. But as hard as things were for me, I was pretty sure the shelter was worse and I wasn’t sure what would become of me. By some amazing intervention, I was rescued by some really nice people and, even though I didn’t know it back then, my life changed in truly marvelous ways!
I was injured and my foster mom took me to the doctor to help heal me. I was given really yummy food – every day! I had comfy places to nap. I was provided space and time to just “be” and not always be on high alert for dangers around the next corner. I was diagnosed with a condition called Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). I’m told this means I have a slightly weakened immune system but that it’s not life threatening provided I’m well taken care of – just as I have been since I was rescued. I’m expected to live a long and happy life – and Kitty Devore Rescue is helping to make sure that happens by making sure I never, ever spend my life on the streets again. They’re going to make sure I always have a wonderful home with people who love me.
I get along with other cats – even if they aren’t FIV+ as I am. I’m a super friendly guy and love my feline foster family friends. I also get along with dogs – even big ones! I currently live with two of them. And I also like kids. I’ve spent the last few years with an amazing little girl who is so kind to me.
I am hoping to find my furever home, family or human. I only ask that you take a chance on me and love me unconditionally. I promise to be your loyal companion and never let your lap go cold. Fill out an application to adopt me today!
