Pancake and Waffles were adopted together on Saturday, April 20, 2024!
Mmm mmm mmm! What better way to start your day than with a generous helping of Pancake and Waffles!?! This savory little sister and brother sibling duo found their way to Kitty Devore Rescue in late March 2023 when they were approximately two months old, and ever since, they’ve been inseparable. They seek each other out, no matter where they are, because they know that, together, they’re quite the special treat. They play as a tag team, groom each other, and sleep curled up together. Their bond is undeniable.
Both kittens thrive in the company of humans. They’re great at buttering them up for some syrupy, sappy affection and treats. Waffles responds and comes running when you call his name, eager to gaze directly in your eyes and love you with every ounce of his being. His super talent is making toys out of just about anything and carrying them around the house. Small toys are his favorite, like little puff balls or feather toys. He has a habit of nursing on his human friends to show affection. Some kittens outgrow this habit, but so far, he hasn’t, and we’re uncertain if he will. He purrs audibly when daubed with forehead kisses and nose boops and melts in your arms when given cuddly hugs.
Pancake has two sides. Flipped one way, she exudes spunkiness and playfulness, batting at strings, scaling tall kitty trees, and tackling her brother joyfully. Flipped the other way, she becomes the snuggliest bunny baby, seeking out her human companions for love, pets, and ear scratches.
Pancake and Waffles share a bond too beautiful to break, and because each requires the close presence of the other to ensure lifelong happiness, they are only available to adopt as a package deal.
