Hello- so nice to meet you! My name is Monkey, and I’m a big boy, estimated to be about 3 1/2 years old. My foster mommy named me after my big, round, beautiful eyes. I was rescued from the Big Bear Animal Shelter in January, 2015, after spending 6 long weeks there. I was so very scared, and when my foster mom took me home I wasn’t sure who to trust.
It took me 6 weeks to realize that not all people mean me harm, and the place that I was in was pretty cool! Now it’s head butts and purrs all day long. Here are some of the things that I love: my food, playing with my toys (especially that Kitty Kix Stick), sitting in the window and watching the action outside, snuggling with a person (I prefer to be touching!), and chasing my girlfriend, Graycie. Don’t tell her, but I really like it when she chases me, too! I’m very good with dogs, too! Sometimes I get really enthusiastic with my paws when I’m getting love and pets, so small children might be a little much. I’m very, very sweet, mellow, and I like getting a lot of kisses and being carried.
