Mon Chéri and his buddy, Señorita Selena, were adopted together on November 12, 2021!
Mon Chéri, as his name suggests, is a little darling. In July 2021, at 3 months old, he found himself admitted to Devore Shelter all by his little lonesome. He wasn’t feeling well either. Si triste! However, we came to rescue him and got him settled into a loving foster home where he was nursed back to health. Joyeux!
He can be timide at first. He may take some time to get used to his new environment. However, Mon Chéri is a curious explorer and, once he knows a new space is safe and secure, he lets his guard down and warms right up. Like most kittens, he’s very fond of cat toys – especially fishing poles with dangly feathers on the end, and any ball that he can bat around. His favorite napping spots consist of warm blankets over a favorite chair and the fuzzy dog bed in his foster home that he commandeered. He adores his foster siblings, Selena and Draco, so we know he’d be happiest in a home where there’s another kitten or cat of comparable energy level who is open to embracing a new bon ami. He does get along well with les enfants, other cats, and dogs who are kitty-friendly.
Mon Chéri enjoys being petted, finds head scratches très heureux but is not a huge fan of being picked up for too long. He’s looking for a person or family who is patient and kind, willing to give him time to become comfortable in his new surrounding (bonbons de chaton (treats) work best as he is very food motivated), as well as extend him the amour inconditionnel he deserves.
