Miska, his momma, Sakari, and his siblings, Kavik and Nanuk, were rescued from Devore shelter in early June when he was just two weeks old. They were all very sick with a nasty cold, but with the help of KD’s great vets and fosters, they’re now all thriving in foster care!
Miska is the Inuit word for “little bear”- this silly boy looked like a fuzzy, roly-poly bear cub when he was a wee little kitten. He now has a very soft and sleek, but medium haired coat of black fur that is starting to “smoke”, so he will have a smoke colored undercoat when he gets bigger! Miska is quite playful, and quite vocal…especially when you’re not putting the food out fast enough for his liking! He likes to rumble and tumble with his siblings and foster siblings and will do best adopted with a buddy (might we suggest his sister, Nanuk?!) or adopted into a home with a playful kitty he can befriend. Miska can’t get enough of his little spring toy and loves playing with wand toys. When he’s played himself out, or when he’s really relaxed, his tongue pops out for the cutest ‘blep’! Whenever the kittens in his foster home band together for a group nap, he can usually be found in the middle of the kitten pile. He also doesn’t mind the resident dog when she’s behaving!
Miska was adopted October 6, 2018!

** Please be aware: Miska is a highly socialized kitty who has grown up in a foster home with playmates. He is best suited for a home that has other kitties close in age and energy levels or be adopted with another kitten from our rescue. We will not consider applicants who have no other cats and only plan on adopting one kitty.
