In September 2018, Momma Elinor found herself a single, unwed, hungry, and very pregnant young lady at Devore Shelter. Two days after her babies were born, we rescued Elinor and her little newborn family. They have been safe, well-fed, loved and well-cared for in their foster home ever since.
From the day Merida opened her eyes, she has been the epitome of curiosity and feistiness. If she were a person, she would have become a GLOW girl – gorgeous ladies of wrestling – because she never misses an opportunity for a smack-down with her sister, Kairi, her doggo foster brother or anyone else who happens to cross her path. She loves the attention! But, as audacious as she may be, she also loves nothing more than perching at the top of her kitty tree, greeting everyone that walks through the front door with her soft chirps and meows. When bedtime rolls around, she can always be found cuddling with her foster mom. While it’s true that Merida is fearless, she is smart … thus cautious when meeting new humans and unfamiliar dogs.
Merida is a very playful, social kitty and would do best in a home where there are other kitties close in age and energy level to play with.
Merida and her sister, Kairi, were adopted together on February 2, 2020!
