Meet Mariette! She is an awesome spunky gal who was rescued from the Devore Shelter by the KD team in May of 2020. At the time of her rescue, she was estimated to be around 3 years old. To meet her is to love her!
Mariette is such a playful and outgoing cat who definitely has the nature of an adventurous kitten. Her favorite toy is the laser and, if you’ve got the time, she’s got the energy and is happy to chase it all day long. She also loves to bat around different toys like her toy mouse. Sometimes she’s even inclined to play fetch.
Mariette is a social girl and would definitely enjoy having a playmate – another perky cat in the house that she can horse around and then nap with. Although Mariette is very lively, she also does have a gentle nature about her. She enjoys head bumps, plopping down on your feet for a cuddle session, and sleeping next to you after a day of play.
While she enjoys getting head/chin scratches, she can give little love bites in certain areas, but just know she does care. Her tummy and toes are her sensitive spots so, if you touch, know that she may let you know in no uncertain terms, “Please don’t touch me there.” All in all though, Mariette wants to show you how to love her and she’ll be the perfect lap warmer.
