Lemmy was adopted October 17, 2020!
Let’s just get this out in the open and on the table for starters and go from there: Lemmy loves everyone! This little guy had a rough start in life. In early August, 2020, at only 4 months old, he found himself admitted to Devore Shelter all by himself. He didn’t have to wait long to be rescued though. He was just too cute to resist! His foster home is full of other animals to play with as well as people of all ages. He’s such a little charmer that it took him no time at all to win the hearts of everyone he met.
Lemmy knows his name and comes when you call him. He will greet you as soon as you walk in the door. He cuddles with you when you’re sitting or laying down. He absolutely thrives on human attention. Do you like to play? Lemmy does! Dangle a string, throw a wadded up ball of paper – doesn’t matter – if it wiggles, flies or moves, Lemmy’s after it.
After play sessions, he’s ready for cuddles and purrs. He welcomes being held – any way you like, really – as long as it’s in your arms. If you don’t instantly pick him up, he’ll ask you to by reaching up to you and meowing as if to say, “Up! Pick me up!” If you cradle him like a baby, he will often reach up and place his paw lovingly on your cheek.
Truth be told, Lemmy is just too precious for words. To know him is to love him – which is why you need to fill out an adoption application to meet him today!
