Lacie was adopted on September 19, 2020!
Meet Lacie, one of the sweetest – and feistiest – kittens you’ll ever meet! This adorable little calico girl found herself surrendered to Devore Shelter all by herself back in June of 2020. She was just barely 8 weeks old at the time of her rescue.
She was too young to understand the danger she was in so it was probably more the relief of being let out of a kennel cage and finally experiencing the freedom to explore and play that enabled her to develop trust and love for her new caregivers.
She’s definitely a people-oriented kitty. She loves following them around, making herself comfy next to them, whether that’s choosing a cozy spot next to their pillow or sitting in a warm desk drawer while they work.
Like most kittens, she has boundless playful energy. However, like all kittens, sometimes she’s unaware of the sharpness of her tiny claws. Yet, despite this, she’s good with children, is curious around other cats and views dogs as just a different kind of funny-looking cat. She thrives on attention, purring as soon as you pet her.
