Kylo Ren’s journey began in true hero-in-the-making fashion: a tiny underdog facing impossible odds. He was surrendered to Devore Animal Shelter in September 2025 at just 4 weeks old — far too young to survive on his own. In years past, kittens under 8 weeks without mothers were automatically euthanized, but today the shelter calls on rescue partners like Kitty Devore Rescue when their own fosters are full and gives us until day’s end to intervene.

For Kylo, that lifeline opened the door to a whole new galaxy. A temporary foster stepped up instantly to guide him through his vulnerable neonatal stage, and when he was nearly three months old and strong enough to join a star system of his own, a long-term foster family welcomed him in. It was his foster mom’s husband — an avid Star Wars fan — who looked at this tiny, dark-furred apprentice and christened him Kylo Ren.

Despite the fearsome Sith-Lord name, Kylo Ren‘s heart is firmly on the Light Side. This sleek little panther is all warmth, purrs, and devotion. His favorite place in the universe is anywhere he can curl up against you — chest, arms, lap, or shoulder — becoming your personal pocket-sized co-pilot. As he’s grown older, he’s also become an efficient office helper!

He’s impressively well-mannered for a youngling: fully litter-box reliable, a respectful scratcher, and a gentle, mindful player. His playtime missions include chasing comet-like wand toys, batting at planets disguised as bouncy balls, and investigating every crinkly artifact in his orbit. Social by nature, Kylo adores other cats, gets along beautifully with kids, and even considers dogs suitable members of his intergalactic alliance.

If you’re seeking a kitten who brings both cosmic charm and down-to-earth affection, Kylo Ren is ready to join your crew — no lightsaber required. To adopt this playful, cuddly, star-bright companion, submit an adoption application for Kylo Ren today. Once approved, an adoption officer will guide you through the next steps on your journey. Bring Kylo home… and may the purrs be with you.
