Sakari and Kavik were adopted February 13, 2024!
Kavik, his momma, Sakari, and his siblings were rescued from Devore shelter in early June of 2018 when he was just two weeks old. They were all very sick with a nasty cold, but with the help of KD’s great vets and fosters, they’re now all thriving in foster care and, for a couple of them, in their new forever homes!
Kavik is the Inuit word for “wolverine”! He’s a handsome house panther with sleek, silky black fur, a couple little white chest hairs, and a small white patch on his belly for flare. He has grown to be a handsome, long and lean boy, not unlike his momma. Speaking of his momma, Kavik thinks she’s the best. He can often be found cuddling and snuggling with Sakari while she grooms him. They must be adopted together, as they are a bonded pair and would be sad without the other. Kavik was always the mellow child of his litter- he really enjoys playing and wrestling with his momma and foster siblings, chasing the laser light, or running after the spring toy, but once he’s played out, he passes out hard! He loves to greet his foster mom when she comes home by running up to her and patting his paws on her legs. He’s also quite the snuggler, laying on laps and chests, or burrowing under the covers with you when he needs some extra affection from his people. Be careful though…if he passes out on top of you, you might be trapped under his soft fur for a good hour!
Handsome Kavik is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and he has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He would very much like to find a home of his own with his momma, Sakari, so if you think your home might be the purrfect fit, fill out an application to adopt today!
