In September 2018, Momma Elinor found herself a single, unwed, hungry, and very pregnant young lady at Devore Shelter. Two days after her babies were born, we rescued Elinor and her little newborn family. They have been safe, well-fed, loved and well-cared for in their foster home ever since.
Kairi is one of Elinor’s little girls and, just like her momma, she an orange tabby with gorgeous swirls of cinnamon overplayed on her luxurious ginger coat. Unlike her gregariously extroverted brother, Sora, Kairi is very shy and timid with new people, places and things – and she’s not very fond of small dogs or small children. Once she feels secure, however, she enjoys rough and tumble playtime just as both her siblings do. She is also an accomplished huntress! You can often see her carrying her toys in her teeth or leaping and catching her favorite “bird” wand toy and then trying to stash it away for safe keeping. Kairi is also an amazing acrobat and the envy of all the other kitties in her foster home. She can be feisty and playful but when it’s time for a nap, she can be found curled up near the feet or legs of her favorite human.
Kairi is a very social kitty and would do best in a home where there are other kitties close in age and energy level to play with.
Kairi was adopted together with her sister, Merida, on February 2, 2020!
