Jorge and Jordan were adopted together on Thursday, April 11, 2024!
A resident of San Bernardino surrendered five adorable 4-month-old siblings to Devore Animal Shelter in September 2023. Luck shone on three when visitors seeking a new kitten chose to adopt them. But the two remaining brothers, Jordan Ares and Jorge Lucas, caught the virulent kitty cold while in shelter care, and because the shelter euthanizes sick kitties, Kitty Devore swooped in to save them. Their temporary foster mom nursed them back to health, and when they recovered, she sent them on their way to their long-term foster home, where they’d wile away their days in non-stop play.
This dynamic duo will spruce up any home they enter! Jorge boasts lynx point Siamese features while his brother, Jordan, is a sleek black panther. Their tiny paws pitter-patter through the house all day long. Being kittens, they gleefully scamper and tussle with each other, endlessly looped in a never-ending game of tag or stalk-the-toy-mouse. However, their favorite activity involves chasing one another’s tails. When they eventually tire out — and it takes a minute — they cuddle and comfort one another for a blissfully long nap.
Jorge and Jordan complement each other well. Jordan boasts a more adventurous spirit, while Jorge excels at snuggling. Jorge, the quieter of the two, plays independently if his brother is busy, batting crinkle balls or stuffed mice. On the other hand, his brother Jordan joyously proclaims his presence at every opportunity and has something to say about everything, especially if the treats aren’t to his liking. His curiosity propels him to explore every nook and cranny, always on alert for something he can play with. While Jorge expresses his love in a gentle, unobtrusive way, Jordan loves fiercely and enthusiastically, complete with full body slams and demands for pets and kisses. They alternate shifts at the biscuit factory, Jordan taking the early lead and Jorge following closely behind.
Despite their young age, these two boys endured so much together; their future happiness depends on one another. For that reason, they must be adopted together. So, if you’re looking for two peas in a pod, apply to adopt Jorge and Jordan today!
