Goldfish aka Goldie is a social, active, and cuddly tortoiseshell cat or “Tortie.” Goldie just loves interactive play with people. Whether laser pointer, feather stick, cat dancer, you name it Goldie will play! When she is not playing, she wants to cuddle and snuggle with her human. If no human is around, she will nap on her cat tree or snuggle with her sister JJay.
However, Goldie will always prefer her person to other cats. Goldie cannot hide her happiness meeting people! In fact, Goldie would love a home where she is the only cat. If she has to share her human, she would prefer it be with her sister JJay. If you are looking for a tag team of playful kitties, who enjoy getting and giving snuggles and cuddles galore; these girls get along great and are a terrific pair. However, they do not need to be adopted together.
Goldie is very smart and tends to be the boss of other cats. She lives with several cats but is most content with less competition for human attention. With humans, it is all love and fun.
Goldie and her two sisters had a rough start in life and ended up at a high kill shelter. The rescue was told that the girls had been put to sleep. A wonderful member of Kitty Devore Rescue was there that day and happened to learn that the girls were miraculously still alive! He got them to safety and on to their foster mom. One sister has been adopted and Goldie and JJay are hoping for their happily ever after either together or separately.
