Godiva was adopted July 11, 2020!
Meet Godiva! She is just as sweet and decadent as her name implies! She was about 6 years old when she was taken in by Kitty Devore Rescue in late 2019. She and over 20 other cats came to Kitty Devore after another Southern California rescue fell on hard times.
Godiva is calm, gentle, and well-socialized. She adjusts quickly to new people and environments. In fact, she allowed her foster mom to rub her belly within minutes of arrival. She also enjoys hunting for toys, goes nuts for catnip, and spends her nights stretched out at her person’s feet. Most of all, she just wants someone to sit with while she purrs contentedly.
With Godiva, even chores like nail trimming are easy, low-stress, and may be accompanied by purring. And what a purr it is! When she’s really excited for belly rubs and head scratches her purr becomes a loud, high-pitched trill. In addition to her wonderful personality, she’s a stunningly beautiful house panther. Her light green eyes provide striking contrast to her dark coat. She varies from solid black color in the front to the rich chocolate color of her namesake candy on her belly and hindquarters.
Godiva gets along well with other cats and would be an excellent addition to any family looking for a new member. With her laid-back, gentle demeanor, she’d do well in practically any household–including households with kids or other cats. Fill out an application to adopt Godiva today!
