I’m happy to say I was rescued from Devore Shelter by Kitty Devore Rescue in November of 2018 when I was about 3 years old. Much like my name-sake from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, I’m sometimes unsure of myself, but I’m very friendly and outgoing once I feel safe and assured. My favorite things about being rescued and having a warm safe home, is all the soft blankets I like to make biscuits on. These days, you can usually find me happily sprawled on a blanket on the bed, or napping on a pillow, every now and then I find a little spot in the closet to doze in as well. I also really love to play with toys; jingly balls, mouse toys, and wand toys are some of my favorites. I can be really funny sometimes when I’m jumping around chasing those toys! My foster mom loves the fact that I have extra toes on each paw; she sometimes calls me “Thumbs”, and loves how big my paws are. She also loves my blue eyes, and my little chirpy meows.
I’m not a huge fan of being picked up, but I love to do “circle eights” and “wheelies” on legs and hands, and face rubs are amazing. I have mixed feelings about other cats, I like the ones that are really laid back and lazy but am not a fan of really energetic cats. I’d be good with other cats as long as they’re calm, and not really interested in playing or wrestling with me. I would do best in a home with young adults and grown-ups. I’m not really sure how I feel about dogs just yet. I’m fully litter box trained, and am a good listener; I don’t jump on tables, appliances, or counters.
