“Can I be your snuggle buddy?”
Etienne was adopted April 22, 2020!
Etienne, whose name translates to Stephen and “crown” in French, goes by the nickname “Bunny.” Why? Because this regal little lady has a coat that is bunny soft. At the time of her rescue from Devore Shelter in August of 2014, she was estimated to be 1 year old by shelter staff but we suspect she might have been a bit younger. She was also expecting and, once rescued, gave birth to four adorable babies. They’ve all since been adopted but she’s still waiting for her forever home.
One of the many wonderful things about her is that she is very people oriented and loves to be pet. She finds humans to be lovely to snuggle with, talk to and play with, too. She’s an expert masseuse and happy to give massages to any willing human. While she has shared her life with many other kitties and a dog while in foster care, she’d love nothing more than to have a family and home of her own. She does not appreciate when other cats encroach on her time with her humans. She also doesn’t like bully cats or pushy cats, nor does she want to be one, herself. So it would be best for Etienne to be someone’s one and only – although she might adjust to living with another kitty or dog with a mellow personality.
If you’re looking for a friend who will be overjoyed and happily greet you when you come home from work, who loves to be pet, who will take up semi-permanent residence in your lap or who will contentedly snuggle up at your side while you read, watch TV or sleep, Etienne is your girl!
