This is Emily, or as I like to call her Dame Emily Mae West. Dame, because she is one in every sense of the word. And Mae West, because if she could, she would strut around here with a boa around her neck and a long tipped cigarette hanging out of her mouth saying something like, “I wrote this story myself. It’s about a kitty who lost her reputation and never missed it.”
Emily has what can only be described as a smoker’s meow – half air, half scratch. When she wants something she will sidle up to you and swing her big fluffy behind at you and give one of her hilarious meows. She loves to give butt bumps and at feeding time turns into a disco princess bumping and grinding for her kibble. Emily had a rough start so while she loves to be petted, she does not like to be held. The special person or people who adopt her have to be willing to just let Emily be. She will love you but on her own terms. And when she does, because she most definitely will, she loves to be at the center of it all – in the middle of the bed, in the middle of the sofa, in the middle of the chair.
Emily would do best in a home without other kitties or with a kitten that she can take under her pretty little wing. It should also be mentioned that she is microchipped and the best of friends with her scratching post. Please consider giving this very special girl a home of her own.
Emily has been adopted!
