Elvira was adopted December 31, 2020!
Elvira was admitted to Devore Shelter with her sister when their former owner could no longer care for them. Elvira’s sister was adopted the day she became available for adoption. Sadly, Elvira was left behind. It’s obvious she had known love and had once been cared-for, but upon rescue, she was underweight and her fur was very matted. Once in her foster home, she quickly blossomed and her sweet personality has shown through.
Elvira loves to be close to her person. She will sit on your lap for hours, purring and rubbing her mouth against your face. She’s a lap kitty and also a bedtime snuggler. Elvira will follow you around like a puppy. She’s a helpful office assistant. Favorite things: Eating! She also enjoys catnip toys and things she can toss up into the air.
Although she grew up with a sister of the same age, she is not overly fond of the other kitties in her foster home, who she views as competition for food and attention. She would do best in a home with no other kitties or with one other laid-back kitty.
If you are looking for a constant companion – a sweet, affectionate, loving kitty who will hang out on your lap and sleep next to you in bed – Elvira is the kitty for you. Fill out an adoption application for this wonderful senior girl today!
