Dexter is a shy boy who was socialized a little late in life and as a result he can be a bit skittish, is afraid of strangers who come to call, and is nervous in new environments. Even so, he does grow very attached to his human and will seek you out for love and attention.
Dex LOVES having his face pet, hanging out with you while you watch TV, and snuggling up to you at night during bed time. He is big fan of Da Bird toy and will RUN to the kitchen for treats as soon as he hears his foster momma getting them out from the cupboard. He is completely endearing while sitting politely for his yummies and making little meows at you when you are taking too long to dole them out.
Dexie is a gorgeous kitty who does live in a multiple kitty home but he doesn’t need another cat around. In fact, this boy would be perfect as an only kitty- just as long as the home is a calm and relatively quiet one without small children, dogs, and chaos. He is a big, robust boy in perfect health but he has had 1 episode of feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) in 2014. For this reason he needs to be fed a moist food only diet. Dexter is a special kitty that will do wonderful in a quiet home with a human who has kitty experience and who will love him for who he is- a shy beauty with a bit of a complex personality, a sensitive heart, and a sweet soul.
