I present you with Conrad and Tosca, or as I affectionately refer to them as Hulk-man and Jelly Bean! They are the oddest of odd couples but their love is unstoppable and adorable.
Conrad—who was rescued from a high-kill shelter’s euthanasia list just before his death sentence—never got along with any other cats and had to be kept isolated, which would scar any living being; Tosca—whose sisters both got adopted but left her behind—was lonely and in need of companionship. Through a happy accident in their current foster home the two met, engaged in a lively game of hide and seek (it was mostly Conrad hiding!), and have been together ever since. They are the most perfect bonded pair to ever exist. I joke that they’re not just a “lap cat”, they’re a “full body cat”: Hulk-man Conrad likes to cuddle up to your lap and tootsies while Jelly Bean Tosca likes to sleep like a starfish on your neck and chest. You will never be lonely or cold again with these two around! If you can imagine for a second how delicately the Hulk would have to interact with a Jelly Bean if that Jelly Bean was his best friend…THAT is the best summary of their relationship: a typically cat-aggressive male who totally submits to a tiny kitten for chasing and wrestling games, daily grooming, and shared meals.
Though Conrad has a slightly weaker immune system than Tosca with his positive result for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, he is no less healthy or personable than her! They simply need to have a balanced diet of wet and dry foods to keep essential vitamins up in Conrad’s system. FIV is a highly misunderstood condition, it does not leave you with a sickly kitty or shorten the life expectancy of the kitty, all that’s needed is typical vigilance for kitty colds, good food, and love. Together, they are the best example of how little a threat FIV really is.
Together, these kitties will make themselves right at home with any family! Tosca is typically shyer than Conrad, but with her best bud by her side she can take on new situations with confidence. It will be an easy transition full of snuggles, kitty conversations, and motorboat purring.
Conrad and Tosca have been adopted!
