Chickpea comes from a family named after legumes! There’s her momma, Lupine, as well as her sisters and brothers: Mesquite, Liquorice, Lentil and Carob. She and her family were rescued from Devore shelter in July of 2016. Immediately after they were rescued, they all spent a couple weeks at the vet because everyone had the sniffles and had to be treated for their colds.
When they all recovered their foster mom, Rebecca, happily welcomed them all into her home – and boy, Chickpea and her siblings were ready! After spending most of their first couple months cooped up in kennel cages, they were all more than ready to enjoy the freedom of romping around and stretching their legs.
Chickpea is an active, playful and outgoing little girl. She loves to interact with other kitties in the home. She would do well in a home with other kitties but could also do great in a home where she receives a lot of stimulation, interaction and affection from her human family.
