Sweet Orange Gentleman seeks home with couch and cuddles. Chandler is a healthy senior boy of 9 years looking for a kind heart. Chandler was abused prior to landing at a high-kill shelter. He is fully vetted including having his teeth taken care of shortly after rescue. The vet says that due to the physical trauma to his head his eyes will “tear up” sometimes. It causes him no pain and the tears are clear. The only possible solution is tear duct surgery but that is extreme for such a minor issue. His foster mom simply wipes his eye with cat eye wipes or a tissue.
Chandler will initially shy his head away when being petted because he still associates a human hand with pain…but now within seconds of realizing it is a kind and gentle hand he will roll his entire head and face into the petting. He LOVES to be petted. Chandler also likes to come sit next to you as soon as you sit on the couch. Chandler would love a human to himself! He also shys away from other cats if they are at all aggressive. Chandler is a lover not a fighter. He does enjoy calm cats. And Chandler loves a good catnip toy! Chandy also sports three socks and one gym sock—he is a bit of a hipster as his age does not define his spirit.
