Budders is an affectionate and quirky character. Her person left her behind to fend for herself on the streets of Anaheim, so a neighbor took her in. She even has a BB under her skin from her street days. (The vet has confirmed that it does not require removal and is causing no harm.) The neighbor family has now moved and she is once again looking for a new person or family to love. But this time it has to be forever as Budders deserves a forever home.
Budders is super affectionate. When she spots someone sitting or lying down she’ll crawl up on their lap or chest and request chin scratches and then settle in to nap or even gaze into their eyes. It sounds funny, but she will look into your eyes like she’s looking into your soul. It’s hard not to fall in love with her even if she does drool when she’s really comfortable and content. (Her foster mom finds her drooling adorable.)
On the quirky side, she has a water glass she likes to drink from and often drags it a couple inches here or there before she takes a drink. Her former family said she liked to drink from the faucet, although she doesn’t do this in her foster home. She also does not like other animals. She’ll grumble at just the sight of them. She wants to be the only animal of the house. But don’t worry, she’ll shower you with the love of 5 kitties!
Part of her quirky nature may be due to the quirky family that last cared for her. While she is a female cat, they always referred to her with male pronouns because they said she was affectionate like a male cat. Her foster mom met Budders while she was with her former family and also got used to referring to her as a he.
Budders has been adopted as of Tuesday, September 17: 2019!
