Astrius was adopted October 26, 2021!
Superstar Astruis blinked into our galaxy in May of 2021 when we received a request from a San Bernardino citizen who had found him but couldn’t care for him. The person who found him also indicated that there might be something amiss with one of his hind legs. Thankfully, we had an open spot for him in our foster care program. Sure enough, this little weeks-old kitten came into our care injured and limping.
Astrius was sent to visit one of our excellent veterinarians, who determined he had a broken pelvis. Although Astrius wanted to shine and orbit around the house like the bright and sparkling supernova that he was, our vet insisted on crate rest for an entire month. To put it mildly, Astrius wasn’t a fan of confinement – but it did the trick! He healed. And boy, when he was finally able to do so, he shot out of deep space like a rocket. Astrius now romps around, climbs, and jumps. There is a wee bit of tilt to his pelvis and muscle atrophy that will likely never change, but this joyful luminary doesn’t know that, nor does he care.
Astrius is a happy boy who loves to be held and will drape himself on your shoulder like a limp noodle. He snuggles into your neck and makes biscuits, purring with contentedness. His favorite time to snuggle you up in this way is when you are sleeping, so steer clear of this guy if nighttime affection is too much for you. However, if you want a sweet, needy companion with endless light and love to give, Astrius is your North Star. Fill out an adoption application for him today!
