Alex was adopted December 29, 2021!
Alex was admitted to Devore Shelter in December of 2020 when he was just three months old. He was adopted once he became available but, sadly, was returned to the shelter in March of 2021 – at which point, we stepped in to rescue him. We’re not sure why he was returned, but we know it wasn’t through any fault of his own.
While in our foster care program, Alex has grown into quite a silly, playful boy. When he’s not playing or sleeping, he wants to be involved in everything you do. Alex is never happier than when he’s climbing on you (he also likes to play with long hair), and he can be counted on to photo-bomb all of your Zoom meetings. He may be jumpy for a couple of days while he gets used to things, but he’ll be in your lap in no time.
Alex has been around other cats and likes to play with them, but he’s an alpha cat, so he can get a bit intimidating. Since he also wants all of your attention, he might do better as an only cat. Be careful not to get him too excited when you’re playing at close quarters–he’s been known to nip.
