Your New Arrival and ISO Protocol

In the rescue world, ISO is the abbreviation for “Isolation”. When a cat who has just spent a week to two weeks in the shelter environment comes into your home, if you have other cats in the home - your own or other foster kitties - the new arrival should be immediately placed in ISO and we strongly encourage you to keep them in ISO for the next 10 to 14 days.
