At a whopping 8 lbs, Kissa is the perfect size to fit into just about any lap; something she considers to be the best thing ever! Sit anywhere in your home and she’ll find you. Her 4 favorite things in the world are laps, fresh water bowls, cat treats, and belly rubs. She can constantly be found belly up on the floor, waiting for someone to rub her tummy. She will quietly follow you around the house and wait for attention. If you bend over near her, she’s likely to climb on your back or shoulders to go for a ride. She’s so lightweight that you barely notice that she’s there. Thankfully, she’s also very gentle and rarely uses her claws.
Kissa has the autoimmune condition Stomatitis. Her body was essentially allergic to her teeth and the condition caused her throat to swell and caused her pain. Our vet recommended Kissa’s teeth be removed. Despite not having any teeth now, she still loves dry food and crunchy cat treats. Kissa’s Stomatitis is a condition that she lives with and has to be managed with a quarterly steroid injection so her throat doesn’t become become red, inflamed and cause her pain.
Even with her condition, Kissa is a very happy cat. She’s so thrilled just to be loved. She is great with other cats and likes having feline friends. If given some time, she’d adjust to a new dog. She’s gentle enough to be around kids and isn’t easily spooked. She just doesn’t like being bothered when she’s drinking water and will run away. If you would like to give Kissa a loving forever home and can manage her condition, please fill out an adoption application. She’s eager to meet you!
