Kitty Devore Rescue is an all-volunteer Southern California area nonprofit charity and foster-based rescue group whose sole mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the cats admitted to Devore Shelter in San Bernardino, CA, as well as cats who are within Devore Shelter’s jurisdiction and who are at risk of being surrendered to the Devore Shelter.
The Devore cats are our exclusive rescue focus. We do not take in cats outside Devore’s oversight jurisdiction.
We are not directly affiliated with Devore Animal Shelter and have no authority as to shelter policies or decisions.
We are not Animal Control and are unable to visit homes to round up or trap stray cats.
We do not have a facility. All the cats taken into Kitty Devore Rescue’s foster care program reside in the homes of our foster guardian members located in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties as well as Seattle, WA, until they are adopted. The number of foster homes is limited as there are always more animals in need than there are people willing to help them. We do our best with what we have and have to give.
If you are writing to us to surrender your cat, please visit and read our Surrender Form page and then complete our Surrender Form. We cannot consider taking any cat into Kitty Devore Rescue foster care or network a kitty within the Kitty Devore Rescue Network without a completed surrender form.
